Jim Root –
The best part about this rod, is that you keep it by the door and beat intruders with it. All jokes aside, I’ve had flipping sticks in the past that were like broomsticks. People who spend a lot of time fishing know you need more than just a beefy rod, you have to have sensitivity. This rod will give you both, without having to sacrifice one to deliver the other.
Perfectly balanced, with unmatched performance. You’ll be able to feel the smallest bite, and simultaneously tear the biggest fish out from underneath the thickest, nastiest cover you can find. Get you some!
Tony Franceschi –
This has to be THE best Flippin’ Stick out there. This rod has power to spare for pulling bass out of heavy cover whether it be wood or vegetation, yet it is so well balanced that you can have it in your hand all day and your forearm and wrist won’t be worn out. If you want one Flippin’ Stick that will handle anything, the Champion 766Flip is the one!

This is how a heavy action flipping rod should be built. This rod has plenty of power to land fish when punching mats, but also has enough flex to make it equally great with heavy jigs on deep grass lines. As with every other Dobyns, the balance and ergonomics are the better than any other rod in its class.
Barry Bost –
This is my go to rod when the brush is thick and the fish are big. It has all the sensitivity it could have and the backbone to handle any brush, grass or debris a fish could be in. Certainly one of my favorites and first out of the box.
Tony Albanese –
Have a few lakes I fish that very shallow/weedy and the only way to fish some areas in summer are to punch the mats. This rod has handled everything I have threw at it. Even hauling in a 4lb bass and ton of weeds, I still felt the rod could have handled more. I love how light the rod is because punching can become exhausting, the light weight of the rod keeps me going strong!
Tom Webb –
Amazing balance and super light weight, super sensitive for so much rod.

My go to rod right here. Punch, skip docks and everything, powerful and never scared to boat flip a fish

“The Beast” ……that said it all!! This is a punching dream rod. Super sensitive and there is nothing this rod can’t handle. I never get on the water in Louisiana with this rod and when you set the hook its over that fish is on, just get the net!!
