Dobyns Rods 1 Year Warranty
The Dobyns Rods Series listed below are covered by a 1 Year Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
- Maverick (MK)
- Colt (CL)
Manufacturing Defect Claims
If your rod breaks within 60 days of purchase, it can be considered for no-cost replacement. Your rod will be evaluated to determine if manufacturing defect was the cause of breakage. If your rod breaks within 60 days of purchase, please send multiple clear pictures of the point of the break, a picture of the Dobyns logo section (directly above reel seat), a picture of the handle section from the reel seat to the butt of the rod, and a picture or screenshot of your dated proof of purchase from an authorized dealer as well as your contact info to fishinginfo@gsmorg.com, and your rod will be evaluated for defect. Once the evaluation is complete, you will be contacted with a final determination. If your rod is found to be defective, it will be replaced at no cost to you. If your rod is found to have not broken due to defect, it will still be eligible to be replaced under the No-Hassle Replacement Program with applicable tier fees.

Dobyns Rods No-Hassle Replacement Program
For rod breakage or damages due to accident, normal wear and tear, or neglect, Dobyns Rods offers a No Hassle Replacement Program. In the event a rod is broken or damaged, the rod owner must pay the replacement fee in order to receive a replacement rod. If we no longer offer the exact model, we will replace it with the closest comparable model from our current product line. Replacement fee tiers are outlined below.

Follow these steps to submit your rod through the Dobyns No-Hassle Replacement Program
- Carefully cut the 6"-8" logo section out of your broken rod (example pictured below)
- Download, Print and completely fill out the Dobyns Warranty Information Form (Link Below)
- Place cut logo section and completed warranty form in a PADDED SHIPPING ENVELOPE
- Mail the padded envelope to the address provided on the Warranty Information Form. It is advised to send your warranty package with tracking
Once your warranty package is received by Dobyns, your replacement rod order will be created using the information you provided on the Warranty Information Form and you will be called for credit/debit card payment of replacement tier fee, return shipping charges and taxes (if applicable). Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing.

No-Hassle Replacement Program through a Dobyns Rods Dealer
If you need to get a replacement rod immediately for that fishing trip tomorrow, simply take your broken rod to your local participating Dobyns Rods dealer and pay them the replacement tier fee detailed above. They will keep your broken rod and give you a new, same model rod in return. Please note, this is dependent on the dealer having inventory of your broken rod model and their willingness to participate in the No-Hassle Replacement Program. Please call your local dealer to verify their participation in this program and the availability of your rod model. Participating Dobyns Rods dealers will not upgrade your broken rod to a higher series. To upgrade your broken rod to a higher series, you will be required to send it in to Dobyns to complete the warranty upgrade. Please see the next section for details.
No-Hassle Replacement Warranty Upgrade
If you wish to upgrade your broken rod to a rod in a higher series, you can complete that during the No-Hassle Replacement process! Simply list the rods you are sending in for replacement at the bottom left side of page 1 on the Dobyns Warranty Information Form, and in the section to the right list the rod you would like to receive back for each. The pricing calculation used to determine your upgrade fee is as follows:
Upgrade Rod Current MSRP – Broken Rod Current MSRP + Broken Rod Tier Fee = Upgrade Fee

Dobyns Maverick Reel Warranty
Dobyns Maverick reels are covered by a Limited 1 Year Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. GSM Outdoors will replace your reel if a defect is found in workmanship or materials for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the original owner and purchase receipt is required to file a warranty claim for Dobyns Reels. - Include your name, phone number and shipping addressYour replacement part will be packed up and sent via USPS Standard Mail. There is no tracking available on replacement parts and they are provided at no cost. If the part you requested is out of stock, you will be contacted. Please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.
