Really didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this rod, but it rocks. For me, it’s the perfect rod for DT10 and DT6, as well as Little John MD’s. Nice moderate bend with a minimal action tip. Casts well, and handles those 6-10ft cranks really well. It’s very light for having glass in it. I could also see throwing squarebills on this no problem. The regular DC 705cb graphite rod is pretty different comparatively. That model had much more action to it and it’s power feels lighter. I use that rod for shallow flat sides on lighter line, and 110 sized jerk baits. Hopefully this helps one of you out.

This Rod is a weapon. I always used graphite rods for my square bills a med diving cranks, but I was at the Bassmaster classic this year and one of the guys at the Dobyns booth recommended this rod. He said it was his favorite rod in the line up. So I took a chance on a glass rod. After 6 months of hard use this is my favorite rod I own. It is just a sensitive as my old graphite rod but doesn’t wear me out. It is accurate to cast and it is amazingly light for a glass rod. This is a high quality rod just like the whole Dobyns line up. I also use this rod for my topwater baits and wakebaits.

Sick of missing and losing big fish on square bill crankbaits? The 705CBMF Glass casts these baits accurately around shallow targets like stumps and docks, plus the soft/slow action of fiberglass allows them to take the bait deeply and keeps them hooked up once they do. Not your father’s old clunky fiberglass rod, this is lightweight so you can fish it all day without effort.
