JJ Patton –
If you want a sub 7 foot rod for “target fishing” with square bills this is a gem. Although it sacrifices some distance from its taller brother the 705 this rod is perfect for fishing square bills on stumps, laydowns, rock and around docks where distance is not a premium. The action on this rod keeps them buttoned up and it is a very powerful rod to get bigger trebles buried. Also a nice rod for spooks or larger poppers when walking the dog in a tip down retrieve
Jordan Smith –
This is the best jerkbait rod I have ever used. It can handle all your jerkbait needs, from the smithwick rogue, vision 110, and the smithwick perfect 10. This rod is all you can ask for out of a great jerkbait rod.
Robert Riley –
At first I was skeptical of using a moderate-fast action rod for jerkbaits and squarebills. BUT I am a changed man. This rod is excellent for squarebills and jerkbaits. The action is faster than your average crankbait rod which gives you an advantage when twitching baits and setting the hook, but it is soft enough that you will keep the fish pinned and not rip out the hooks. It loads excellently and I can bomb smaller jerkbaits plenty far.
