Capt. Jason Ellman –
This is my go to rod for vertically jigging, Lindy-rigging (bass world would call this a Carolina Rig), and pulling spinners for Walleyes. This rod does the majority of my guide work in Northern Minnesota.
This rod has proven itself durable as it has withstood routine daily use from clients, it’s sensative enough for a novice fisherman to detect/understand the bite, and has been a great asset to the arsenal. This rod will provide good sensativity, great action, and has great back-bone. This rod has pulled in all kinds of fish this year and can handle larger fish including 5LB Smallmouth and 9-10 LB Walleye.
This rod has sold itself as a number of my clients had purchased their own after their trip. That alone should speak for the quality of this rod.

I’ve got three SS 692’s and for the price, they can’t be beat! For dropshots, shakey heads and dartheads, this rod has just the right amount of sensitivity and plenty of backbone. I have caught tons of fish with the SS 692 and have never had any problems. An excellent finesse rod!
