I can’t use spinning rods anymore due to problems with my right arm and hand. I bought this rod in my search for the perfect drop shot casting rod and paired it with a Daiwa Tatula bf70 to ensure I could cast the lightest weights. It does work very well for drop shots with 1/8 oz weights and 4.5-inch worm, but I find it excels with light wire jigs and Ned rigs down to 1/10 oz. I have had no problems hooking or landing bass up to 7 lbs. so far. You will not be disappointed in this rod for finesse applications! On a side note, the rod I settled on for drop shots is the DC 702C also paired with a BFS reel-Killer set ups that are both on my deck 12 months a year.

This is one of my absolute favorite jerkbait rods that I own! I also use it for small square bills and flat sides. I’m sure it will work phenomenal for the listed techniques as well. Especially spoons.
