Hellabass recommended me to this rod for 1/2 oz Spinnerbaits and all I can say is Wow!!!! I have spent a long time trying to find the perfect rod and now the search is over to burn my blades. Paired it up with a Tatula SV and my buddy fishes a Loomis and Shimano combo but he absolutely can’t put this one down lol. If you throw a Spinnerbait do yourself a favor and pick this one up. Another quality product from Gary.

This rod has really become my go to in my lineup. This rod is a Texas rigging dream for me. The right amount of bend so I can get in those hard to reach places but plenty of backbone for the big ones.

I purchased a SS 704C from a friend who was liquidating inventory and it sat in my rod locker for over a year until I broke my main jig rod while I was on a trip. i picked-up this rod and swapped my reel and I haven’t taken the it off since. I own and have fished more expensive jig rods but the balance, soft time with sold backbone make the SS 704C a fantastic 3/8 to 1/2 oz jig rod for deeper open water smallmouth bass. I can’t wait to try similar rods in Dobyn’s Champion and Extreme series. Thanks for reading.
