I have all of the sizes, 10-, 12-, 14- and 16-foot Dobyns, Josh Jones Hyperlite Series. I do a lot of crappie fishing; I can tell you for sure the rods are the best I have ever used. Boat flipping a 2 1/2 to 3 lb. crappie without a dip net doesn’t affect this rod at all. Too lazy to get the dip net when fishing the 14′ rod, buy a Dobyns, Josh Jones Hyperlite Series rod. I have suggested these rods to several of my friends; they all own them now, every one of them. GREAT ROD! I hope this helps someone else find the best Crappie rod they will ever own.
