I LOVE this rod! Combined it with a Shimano Vanford 3000 and it ROCKS!

I want to preface by saying I am a power fisherman and live in Texas. I fish the cheese, I fish backwoods swamps, and flooded timber. I thought spinning gear was for Midwest, Great Lakes guys that throw those goofy buckskin hair jigs and tubes for smallmouths in fridged weather. However, I couldn’t sit and just poke fun at the guys, I had to try it. I have learned to adapt and I do see the need for spinning gear especially in cold weather. My first scrap with a sizable largemouth was with a 702sf throwing a tube. I needed more backbone, so getting the 703sf was solved this problem! In fact, I think the 703sf was made for tubes. Hands down across the board any 703sf will get the job done when you’re fishing tubes. It also makes a great wacky rig and neko rig rod. It pairs perfect with my Shimano Sahara 2500. The reel is a little heavier, than spinning reels I’ve held, but it works…perfect balance. This is your rod for TUBES!!!!

Picked up a Fury series 703SF today and I’ve gotta say…these rods are quality! I use spinning rods for drop shots, under spins and smaller spinnerbaits. First time out on the water I tested it throwing 1/8 and 1/2 oz spinnerbait and this thing handles them both like a champ. You can feel everything so you won’t miss a bite. An easy lift of the rod set the hook using 1/8 sb. Can’t wait to try out some plastics and drop shots! 100% recommend the fury series for the budget angler and with a lifetime warranty you simply can’t go wrong.

I snapped my originall drop shot rod (different brand) at the tip and was looking into rods. Well I had the 733c furry also and loved it so decided to test this rod out. Now I know it isn’t the “dropshot” rod but I was used to a stiffer back bone with fast tip and this fit the bill better. Although it’s main purpose for me is a drop shot I’ve used it with small topwater lures and small swimbaits, Texas rugged or weightless senko and it really has a overall capacity to truly be utilized for just about everything.

Purchased the Fury Series to add to my guide service this year. The FR 703SF quickly became the workhorse of my rod quiver. Sensitive with a good backbone, the 703 became a favorite of my clients. Experienced or not, they all commented on how light it was and how they could feel the fish quickly. We threw all kinds of plastics with it and found it to be extremely versatile. Great value for the $$.

It’s a great rod. Very light and balanced. It’s held up really well. It’s a perfect for weightless and tx. rigged plastic baits, sencos, shakey heads. I fished some baits as light as 1/10th oz ned rigs, spy baits with ease. I really like the new look. For the price, it can not be beat.

Got this rod at the beginning of the year and love it! I was not a huge fan of trying to finesse fish for those finicky bass but after I got this rod I threw senkos on wacky rigs and drop shots all the time. It’s super sensitive picking up every knock and nibble. The page says drop shot is a secondary technique but I believe it is even light enough to be a primary technique. It landed me my personal best bass out of Minnesota over six pounds from drop shotting rocks in 15 ft. of water. Can’t wait to use this rod next season and I would recommend this rod along with the 702SF to anyone who wants to improve there finesse techniques!
