This rod was made for the super deep divers. The 10 XD really requires a little more rod to throw it perfectly. The 8 foot length helps launch the bait and almost “spools” your reel. The longer the cast….the longer your baits run at their deepest depths making them far more efficient. This rod was made specifically for 10 XD and helps take the work out of throwing a BIG BAIT!!

The 806 CB tamed the biggest baddest beast of Ultra Deep Crankbaits the LuckyCraft SKT Magnum 120 DR that comes in at 3.25 Ounces and is 4 3/4″ in Length. It drawfs the 10XD but it was nothing for the 806CB to cast this bait about Two Country Miles. Best part is this rod allows the bait to do it’s thing without any restriction. When you restrict the bait it kills the action and the 806CB is a perfect compliment for Ultra Deep Cranking! And AWESOME Dobyns Development!

I fell in love with this rod as soon as I made my first cast. Not only does this rod handle those big body deep diving crank baits with ease, it also is a great Umbrella Rig Rod. It takes all the work out of throwing them both.

Another amazing rod from Dobyns. LAUNCHES 10XD’s, Crush 500DD’s, Duo G87’s, Umbrella rigs, and your smaller glide baits!

Fishing 10XD’s all day is a workout, but the DC 806CB just made it a whole lot simpler. Topped with a low gear ratio reel, the 806CB makes throwing 10XDs moderately easy. A long cast is critical to getting a 10XD down to the strike zone, and you can absolutely launch a 10XD with this rod. I literally laughed the first time I cast a 10XD with the 806. It has a nice, parabolic bend that keeps fish from shaking the hook, and it has a ton of backbone to horse the fish out of the timber. Throwing magnum-sized crankbaits can be exhausting. Let the rod do the work for you. Give the 806C a try.
