Duane Wilson –
This year I picked up a 736c and will probably buy a second 736c before year end . To my surprise casting distance was not an issue even with a lighter 3/8 jig/trailers. Sensitivity with a 1/2 or 3/4 lipless crankbaits exceeded my expectation. The 736c can handle all my baits from 3/8 to to 1 1/4 oz (Lake Fork Spoons, Jigs, lipless, Swimbaits, Alabama Rigs). I’m in my 70s and sought a better solution for how I like to fish and what I could handle. My purpose was to experiment with a stouter rod with heavier line in open water and structure where I could run into bigger bass, Quality is there.

Been using the 735 which is an incredible rod. Then was recommended that I try the 736. Unbelievable power. Great rod for Heavy Jigs. Had to get used to the long handle but it does fit up inside your forearm well.
This beast has more power than my old flipping stick and a decent tip as well.
Lifting 3.5 lb fish and swinging them to my hand is like swinging 2 lbers. with a lighter rod
Wow!

All the beef and raw power of your favorite flipping stick, yet slightly shorter and much more balanced so you can load the 736C with 25 lb fluoro or 65 lb braid and confidently fish big baits in the heaviest cover in the lake all day and not get worn out doing it. I’ve fished 65-100 lb braid on this rod for big bass at Falcon, Fork, Okeechobee and Champlain, setting the hook as hard as I could, pulling for all I’m worth, and usually boat swinging the fish in. That’s a recipe to break a lot of rods but this rod just keeps coming back for more. Doubles as a powerful frog rod as well.
