This thing is legit. Noticeable difference between the champion line and CH extreme. Have it paired with a 24 met DC right now and am amazed at the sensitivity and versatility. When you suck at fishing like me and end up throwing half the tackle box in a day this is the rod. In all seriousness it excels for weightless senkos, frogs, flukes and chatters. Have thrown 1/4oz weightless plastics up to the 5″ magdrafts with ease.
If you are deciding between split and full handle, I own both and very much like both, I will say for low profile reels like alderbaran or metanium I would stick with split handle, looks beautiful and feels perfectly balanced. Anything heavier reel wise and the full handle is fine. Cork is mint!!!
The lifetime warranty is a fantastic perk too. I must’ve had 10+ phone calls with Tony the warranty helper as I’ve changed out countless dobyns rods. Never any difficulties or hassle to get things replaced. Only time I ever had any trouble with shipping damage they sent me an extra ~$30 worth of lures to make up for it. Good people better rods

If you love fishing senko style baits or wanting to learn to fish them….look no further! This rod is tailor made for the senko and the sensitivity to detect the lightest bites is unmatched. Want to learn senko fishing 101? Get yourself the DX 743!

This is my favorite rod. 12lb floro, football jig and you are set. You feel everything on the bottom as you drag your jig across it. Due to the way the rod is balanced you can fish it all day with no fatigue.

This is my favorite rod. It can be used in some many ways. I use it for jigs and shakey head in the 3/16 to 3/8 oz range. This rod is super sensitive and can feel the bite on a tough day. If you want a great rod to improve your fishing this is the one!!

The DX 744c for me is the most versatile in the DX line.. The 4 power can handle a wide range of weights from 1/8- 1/2 or bigger, but to me excels in the 3/16-3/8 range. Usually a jig or t rig is tied on mine for casting, flipping, pitching, follow up bait for misses. Also a weightless 5-6″ senko or fluke works well. I prefer the full grip for tip up fishing/bottom contact lures and the split for flukes or reaction baits with a tip down presentation.
