The Sierra 693 sf Is a versatile spinning rod at a great price. It is a great rod for finesse moving baits and single hook presentations. I use it mainly for small crankbaits /balsa flat sides, jerk baits, single swim baits like keitechs with 1/8-3/8 weights, underspins, etc. It also works well for floating worms or other texas rigged soft plastics fished with a moving presentation. I prefer the champ xp and higher models for techniques requiring more sensitivity, but if your budget limits you it does great for heavier line/cover/fish drop shots, tubes, weightless senkos. Overall it fishes above its price range and I recommend it highly
