My Dobyns arsenal has grown quite a bit since my last review, but I still love my KD715, I’ve caught fish on frogs, a rigs, swim jigs, magdrafts, s waver 168s, but I love to pitch jigs into cover with this rod. Great at skipping em in there too. Also great sensitivity for the price point.

If you are looking for a shorter close quarters heavy cover Frog Rod look no further, the 715 is a great choice. The tip is soft enough to skip in heavy brush & under limbs & has plenty of power to horse them out of the cover. Great rod for the money!

Bought it for frogs and it does that well, but also have thrown small a-rigs (yum flash mob jr (3)1/16oz heads, 2 teasers on owner screw locks ,3” teasers 4”on the hooks), small swim baits up to 1 1/4 oz, magdraft freestyle, great for pitching jigs, throwing swim jigs in grass/cover etc.

Solid frog rod. I’ve experimented with a few different Dobyns before reaching the 715. It has plenty of backbone but also great for around low limbs on cypress trees.
