The Kaden 713sf is an almost perfect rod. Only issue are the guides, specifically the first 3-4 larger guides towards the reel seat, the angle between the foot-guide frame transition is sharp and very inflexible, leading to more than average guide wrapping/epoxy destruction. Great backbone while maintaining a nice fast yet soft tip. It’ s a workhorse of a spinning rod and more like a medium plus/med heavy, but light and balanced. I have rods from Fury-Xtasy. Experience with many rods from most of your top mainstream builders and brand names. It’s balanced fairly well for this price point. I’m sure there’s multiple reasons from cost, supply, function etc for using these guides on the Kaden. Usually do not like split handles, but it’s comfortable for me with this model. Other nit picky thing is the rear hook keeper. Good thing, this is almost exclusively a powershotting/spinning rod for me and gets the Cali Coast clip treatment. I’ll live with it. Just take care of the rod when placing to and from storage, which is always a challenge when I’m a moron that’s already spinning out before hitting the water.
