As close to perfect as you can get…
Received my DRX 722 in Feb, so I had to wait a while to get her on the water. My techniques I hoped to use this rod for were casting jig/plastics for walleye and Finesse & Drop Shot for Smallmouth. Early walleye season is here and I’ve already caught several “Eyes” up to 7 lbs. The balance, crisp action and sensitivity of this rod are unmatched…and its got the backbone to bury a hook on a long cast with 6# copolymer line. This love affair has caused me to sell a few “custom builds” :)

I’ve fished this rod quite a bit, Certate 3000 with 16# Xplasma to 7# Sniper FC leader weightless 5” Senko rigged wacky or Texas. It’s almost unfair, feeling the difference in a tug on the worm VS a hook that’s ready to set – just a kiss crisper on the line and yes you really do feel it in this rod.
This is a “if you don’t catch a fish, you can’t blame the equipment” level rod. You’ll have to learn how to interpret what you feel, because you WILL feel everything!
Not kidding…
You’re gonna name this baby
