This shorter rod is wonderful for our 9yoa grandson. He now has better cast control and can snap lures out of the grass. Overall it has really given him more confidence. I plan to buy an xtra to use in my kayak!

I’ve had this rod for going on 2 months now. I honestly cant think of a better Jerkbait rod than my 635 CB. I honestly feel that it was made for me.
Being Shore bound, I need a short rod with a short grip to work Jerkbait’s properly. This fits the bill very well. Paired with a Lew’s Team lite, I have a Jerkbait combo just over 10 ounces.
Plenty of whip to send a light 3/8 oz bait way out there, but plenty of backbone to haul fish in. Paired with Senshi Mono, I have yet to loose a fish while putting pressure on them.
If you’re not fishing Jerkbait’s on this rod, you’re doing yourself an injustice. This is really the Jerkbait rod for bank fisherman.

After fishing the 635CB I think the rod was built with the intentions of being a true jerk bait stick. I throw mostly 1/2oz 110’s and the 635CB worked beautifully. The tip has just enough action and I found that I could get the bait to react without having too overwork the rod. It felt just right for me.
I did manage to catch a few 2lb smallies (that’s all I could get that day) and the rod handled them very well. Good flex in the tip and great backbone. Had no problem landing the fish. I’ll re-post when I get into some larger fish.
