Added a use for this rod. I used it all season throwing the Z-man Swag line through 5" swimbait. I lost count of how many bass I've caught with it. The rod casts it great, has the power to set the hook at the end of a long cast, and is not too bulky to use for hours on end. My second one has been my frog rod. Also a killer use. It's become my fave frog rod.

704 is my spinnerbait, chattterbait, and 5" swimbait rod. Nice balance, and power. Probably my fave chatterbait rod, I need to be able to pop my baits out of weeds, so I need a faster rod.
Great comfy rod to fish.

This XP 704 is thee perfect rod for flipping 1/4-3/4 oz Texas rigs or jigs to weighted worms and bigger top water baits . This rod would be my pick if I could only have one rod to use . It’s just amazing how it fits and feels and how it loads up on fish .

I usually like 7'+ rods, but understand why a 6'10" would be better for skipping. Love this rod for skipping jigs & T-rigs under docks or low hanging tree limbs. But it seems I pick up this rod all the time & it's always on the deck. I have prob caught more fish on this rod than any other in my arsenal. I would gladly get another so I can always have on a jig &a...
This is my new favorite rod and I can't believe I used to fish something else for Texas rigged Senkos. Finally took it out last night to do some night fishing and the sensitivity is incredible! The bites were so subtle last night and only missed one out of 3 but that was because I tried setting the hook so quick. She's broken in now with a 4 pounder landed and some smaller grade fish....
This Rod is everything you want for Jigs and Flipping a 1/2 weight in heavy cover. Great back bone and power to drive that big hook home and get those fish turned. I have mine with 20 pound fluro all the time. Its also in a pinch a solid 6 inch mag draft rod and spoon rod 5 inch
