Fish a lot of rivers in the midwest for smallmouth. Invested in the DRX722 for deadsticking/deaddrifting a Z-Man Scented Jerk ShadZ on a keel weighted hook. This rod feels the slightest bites and helps you assess bottom structure in rivers and streams. Has made me a big critic on a lot of other spinning rods for sensitivity. Incredible rod. Would give it 6 starts if I could.

This rod is my dedication Ned rig rod and absolutely love it plenty of back bone to drive the hook into those big smallmouth and so sensitive to feel the lightest of bites

The DRX 723 is a very sensitive 3 power rod w lots of backbone...I boated several big Bass and Walleye on this rod last season using contact baits... Its smaller brother the 722 is close in action with a tad softer, more sensitive tip...and a great Drop Shot rod...Most $$$ rods I have ever bought but well worth it!

I’ve fished this rod quite a bit, Certate 3000 with 16# Xplasma to 7# Sniper FC leader weightless 5” Senko rigged wacky or Texas. It’s almost unfair, feeling the difference in a tug on the worm VS a hook that’s ready to set - just a kiss crisper on the line and yes you really do feel it in this rod. This is a “if you don’t catch a fish, you can’t blame the equipment” level rod. You’ll have to...

This rod is incredible, WOW. The fit and finish is immaculate, the subtle wrapping is beautiful, and the color scheme is very refined. Besides the design, the functionality of this rod is awesome, it casts incredibly far with a decent variety of baits, has a very crisp and fast action (more so than most other spinning rods), and is beyond sensitive. Sure the evergreen jackhammer has that name, but...

As close to perfect as you can get... Received my DRX 722 in Feb, so I had to wait a while to get her on the water. My techniques I hoped to use this rod for were casting jig/plastics for walleye and Finesse & Drop Shot for Smallmouth. Early walleye season is here and I've already caught several "Eyes" up to 7 lbs. The balance, crisp action and sensitivity of this rod are un...

Just received my 2 new 752sf's in the mail yesterday and I'm blown away! These rods are insanely light. Like holding a feather! The look is very sleek and top notch. I'm a big fan of the full grip spinning rods and these balance in my hand perfect! I spend a lot of the cooler months fishing a 2.8" kietech on a 3/16oz jig head in deep water and this is going to be the ultimate...

I live close to lake Michigan and am an avid Smallmouth Bass fisherman. I talked to Gary Dobyns about his best, most sensitive spinning rod for big water. He said irrevocably, Xtasy 753. I ordered one for a retirement present for myself :) After my initial day on the water with it...catching a 6lb 1oz Smallie on a glide bait, I am doing the happy dance. Great sensitive tip and sneaky powerful...g...

This is my favorite rod in the Xtasy line up. It took my a while to find its sweet spot, but when I did, wow talk about fun. This rod excels at weightless senkos texas rigged! You can cast these rigs a mile, and the sensitivity is OFF THE CHARTS. It is also good for paddle tail swimbaits up to 3.8 and 4.3 size on 3/8 to 1/2 jig heads. I am sure it would be a good wacky rig/neko rig rod as w...
