I love this rod. Like all my Dobyns rods the QC is excellent (straight blank, straight guides). It’s incredibly comfortable to fish. Balanced and ergonomic. The action/power is unique. It was a broomstick when I first got it, but quickly broke in, and has become quite parabolic when fighting a fish. Not a bad thing, just something to consider. So, great for any number of open water or sparse cover...

This rod is a sleeper! Super lightweight, balanced and sensitive with an extra fast tip. From frogging to pitching this rod is money.

20lb flouro and 1/2oz jig is what lives on mine 90% of the time. I’ve used it to pitch plastic but prefer 765 for that. I like a it for a popping frog or more open water frogging. It’s got a good tip to cast and walk a frog. Throws a 168 s wavers, 3/4oz swim baits, and big night time spinnerbaits with out a problem. It loads up good and has plenty of power. It’ll stick em good with a big hook.

I bought this rod for two particular purposes. Number one pitching into heavy brush, given my home lake is covered with trees. Second, throwing an Alabama Rig. What? A-Rig? Yes, A-Rig. I didn’t want a beefy swimbait rod so I went with the SA765. I can feel when a fish swipes at my rig, I can feel when a fish short strikes it, and you bet I can feel when a striper gets hooked. The spectacular balan...

I use this rod for frog fishing and it has handled some of the biggest frog fish for me without issue! It’s also a solid jig rod if you’re on a budget and can’t go to the extremes.

This rod is a must-have. Incredible value and perfect for frogs, 1/2 oz top 3/4 oz jigs, heavy texas rigs, plopper 130s, etc. Pure power, well-balanced, and fairly light for a rod of it's length and power. Also, good sensitivity. Recently caught 12 on a deep ledge on a jig--many on subtler bites. I love this workhorse.

I love this rod for flipping heavy cover. Sensitive enough to feel the slightest bites, but solid enough to drag them out of the thickest of cover. Great rod for any price point!!!!
