Donald Henderson –
I just bought one to pitch with, works good with soft plastics with 3/16 weight all the way up to 3/4 jigs, works good for a Carolina rig to, good multi purpose rod
Fishing CON Velázquez –
I bought this rod for two particular purposes. Number one pitching into heavy brush, given my home lake is covered with trees. Second, throwing an Alabama Rig. What? A-Rig? Yes, A-Rig. I didn’t want a beefy swimbait rod so I went with the SA765. I can feel when a fish swipes at my rig, I can feel when a fish short strikes it, and you bet I can feel when a striper gets hooked. The spectacular balance make this rod feel lightweight and allows me to throw an A-Rig all day long. How heavy of an A-Rig? I throw from 1/8 ounce heads all the way up to 1/4 ounce heads. No problem casting it or setting the hook. Don’t let the “Flipping Stick” name fool you. If you are looking g for a multi-purpose rod for heavier applications, this is it.
