I don’t leave many reviews but I feel in this case, it’s warranted. Please excuse the length of the review lol. Dobyns rods are the workhorses in my lineup. This company’s products are just a perfect fit for me. I purchased this rod as my new primary jerkbait setup. I had been using a Irod Genesis III which is a good rod but honestly the Kaden 610-4 retired it completely in about 20 minutes of fishing. Just a great looking rod with excellent build quality so typical of Dobyns. Lightweight, sensitive, balanced. High quality components. The Fuji reel seat is top of the line of course and I’ve been impressed with the XO guides. Dobyns doesnt need cheap gimmicks and bells and whistles. Their rods speak for themselves where it matters most.. on the water. The length and action is perfect for jerkbaits but would work really well with topwater amd small crankbaits as well. I’ve paired mine with a Daiwa Tatula SV TW 70 reel, 12lb Sunline FC Sniper fluorocarbon and I’m usually throwing a Lucky Craft Pointer, Staysee or one of the Megabass jerkbaits. I don’t want to go on and on but I’ve got to add that Dobyns customer service is second to none. I’ve spoke to them on the phone twice and they’ve been friendly, eager to help and definitely know what their talking about. I’m a Dobyns guy for life! 10/10, 5 Stars perfect rating!!

Got this rod to retire an og 6’6” med falcon low rider I ve been using to jig walleye for 25 years. Chose this model for the somewhat slower action (like the falcon it replaced was known for) This rod slays! Slower then most but not too slow, great all purpose Lake Erie walleye casting rod.

Best cranking rod I’ve ever laid my hands on!

Probably one of the best jerkbait rods on the market. Gary knocked it out of the park with this rod, perfect length for everyone know matter how tall you are. The action is perfect and crisp plus you can also double it as a squarebill rod as well

I fish from a kayak. I use this rod for Rapala OG Tiny Series flat sides, square bills, jerkbaits, top water poppers, smaller spinner baits and the ChatterBait mini. I rarely loose a fish. The balance is great with a Daiwa 70SV or 103SV.

Great jerkbait rod. Perfect for 110’s.

I initially got it for jerkbaits and I do use it for that application but once the bite becomes more top water oriented, then I use it for poppers and I’m really liking the action of the rod for my poppers.

This rod is insane the action is crisp and snappy and perfect for working 110 size jerkbaits the rod bends in the perfect place for when you jerk into a fish and has handled well so far fighting 2-3 lbers this rod is money my brother and dad thought they were holding a 300$ rod and were really surprised to find out it was only 170$ all in all this thing is nuts and I don’t know if I’ll ever buy another champion. The action on the kaydens is fantastic and much faster than some of the other models. The only problem is now I need more !!!!!

This model was not available for the role out of the test versions. I had a feeling this model was going to be a hit. Nailed it. No reason for you guys wanting a sub seven footer for jerk baits! This is it. Gary did it right. This rod works a Vision 110 like butter. I’m so impressed.
