This is an amazing rod! Sensitive as all get out and a lot of backbone to crack them! I’ve been using it mainly for 1/8-3/8oz Texas rigs and 3/8-1/2oz Jigs. I’ve also thrown 1/4-1/2oz Carolina rigs with it. It handles all the different weights amazingly..

So I bought this rod specifically off of Doug Lanes suggestion of being the ultimate Swimjig rod. I gotta say…. He’s absolutely correct! I’ve been blown away by this rod.

Switched from the Sierra 734 to this rod for flukes and I I found it to be even better for me for when they’re in thick pads and you have to shake the fluke to get a bite.

Bought this rod to pair with a shimano scorpion mgl looks great and fishes even better. Great sensitivity on bottom and light overall no fatigue fishing for hours. I’ve been using t rigs pegged with a 1/4 tungsten and 1/2 ounce jigs fast hooksets and plenty of control over the fish it boat flipped a 4lb black bass was pretty nervous but it handled it well.

I have to say, this is one of my favorite rods ever. The action is fast enough for the blank to excel at bottom contact techniques but active enough to make normal casting very efficient. It is the ultimate swim jig rod. The full rear grip is so comfortable and the balance is text book Dobyns. The series as a whole is just fantastic. I would give it extra stars if I could.
