I have 3 of these rods. i love them for throwing jigs. the sensitivity is great and they are super light great rod to use all day. These rods help me finish on 8th place in the WonBass US oPEN IN 2020.
If your looking for a good jig i highly recommend this rod right here.

As the other reviews have stated, this is a remarkably versatile bass rod. While I don’t feel a rod of this caliber is necessary for moving baits, it would work well nonetheless. This is a premium rod that excels in applications where sensitivity and focus are paramount. I use this rod for casting a Texas rig on 15lb fluorocarbon. Historically, I have not had the attention span to be successful with “dragging” type presentations. This rod has changed that. I am so connected to my bait, that I remain as engaged as when I am pitching to targets. The 704dx has changed my game.

I am a die hard dock fisherman & this is my rod of choice for skipping and pitching boat docks with a 3/8 – 1/2 ounce tungsten flipping jig. I almost always use 20lb fluoro, this rod has the tip for accuracy, but the back bone to stick and haul them out every time. 7′ is perfect combination to be able to get the baits where you need but the length to get the fish out!

the 704c dx is my go to rod to fishing in flooded waters with overhangs and also for dock skipping. It has plenty of tip to skip or sidearm cast when skipping under objects and the shorter length helps when there are hazards above when the mighty miss floods. Plenty of power to get them out of the heavy stuff also. Works well with spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and swim jigs also in the above conditions

The Dobyns Champion Extreme DX704C is my go-to dock skipping rod. It has a light enough tip to really skip lures well, but plenty of backbone to get the hook set and fish moving. Not to mention that the sensitivity is unrivaled. I catch quite a few fish on soft bites that I feel like I would have never even known were there if I had been using other rods. The DX704C is also very versatile, great rod for spinnerbait, buzzbait, and soft plastic jerkbait.
