The Moving Bait Special! Great rod for Spinnerbaits, Swimjigs, finesse jigs, and Lipless crankbaits in open water! I love it for Spinnerbaits. It lets you feel the vibration of the blades during the retrieve. Yo yoing this rod with a lipless is so much fun! Finessing and swimming jigs is a breeze with this dude.

1/8-1/4 Texas rigs Weighted Wacky Rigs heavy Shaky heads, Traps…this is your rod. A dream for Texas Rigged trick worms and ribbon tails. You will love the sensitivity. 744DX for jigs and worms 3/8 and above would be a 4 power.

Probably one of the best lipless crankbait rods I’ve ever used! It’s got a quick tip to rip the bait out of the grass, but loads through the blank to keep them trebles pinned!

I am in the process of switching all my rods to Dobyns. I just got a 733C F/H and I am very very impressed with the rod. I would definitely go up to the champion extreme series if I was looking for bottom contact only; however, I am on a budget and need all purpose rods. With that being said, the 733C is great for just about everything I throw from 1/8 ounce texas rigged senkos to 3/8 ounce spinnerbaits. I really enjoy throwing lighter scroungers on it too. It definitely has a small amount more flex than what I would consider a fast action but I believe that keeps fish pegged on the hook better for me personally. Overall very pleased with the rod so far. Can’t wait to catch more fish on it.

This was my first Dobyns rod. Amazing sensitivity, balance, and versatility. I really like this rod for dropshotting sparse tules on the Delta!

One of my go to rods is the 733c and I just returned from fishing the Louisiana Delta for Bull Reds…..And the 733c was one of the rods that helped me tame these powerful fighting Swamp Donkeys! IF you every hooked into a Giant Red you know what they can do to equipment but if you never had think of the Biggest Badest Bass and time it by 10,000…that what a Bull Red can do! With the excellent action and strong backbone it allowed me to cast further sight fishing for Bull Red Cruising the bank for an easy meal….but once hooked the fun began and it seemed like the rod was going to tie into a knot it performed flawless and allowed me to fight these giants until they surrendered to me to get a couple pics and back into the paradise of the Mississippi River Delta. The 733c is perfect for moving baits like Bladed Jigs, Spinner Baits, Buzzbaits and casting jigs. You need one for your arsenal….nope you need at least 2!

Although the 734 is my go to rod, if i am throwing lighter spinnerbaits, chatterbaits or swim jigs I reach for the 733. For power fishing with 1/8-1/4 oz baits this rod can really get the cast out there and keeps em buttoned up after they bite.
