This rod accidentally became my favorite rod to fish jackhammers around docks. This rod will skip a 1/2 jackhammer under a dock or into a lay down with ease. It handles square bills with ease but it’s soooo good with a jackhammer I may need another one. I use #20 or #30 braid and rarely miss or lose a fish with this rod. Even on days when they are just swatting my crank they hook up and the tip keeps them buttoned.

I picked up this model at the suggestion of pro staffers and could not be happier. Having the 705CB Glass, I wanted a squarebill rod with a tad quicker tip and slightly more power for my larger baits. This rod amazes me at the responsive tip, power, balance and how light is is. This is a total package rod that can do alot. I see a second one coming for chatterbaits. You have to experience the performance of this rod !

Mostly I got this for the double fluke rig. The soft tip works the baits well and reduces the fatigue to my forearms when really working it fast. A little more power than the 704cb to handle the double hookups better. It’s so much quicker to get your limit when you catch em two at a time!

If you love cranking then this is the perfect rod. I throw alot of medium diver crankbaits and this rod has improved my fishing greatly. Just enough tip matched with enough backbone to perform great. This rod is by far one of my favorites!!!

The 705CB is my absolute favorite squarebill rod. I fish a lot of shallow water with plenty of cypress trees, laydowns and stumps so I like a rod I can fish squarebills on heavy line (15-20lb) and when a fish bites I can turn him away from the cover and get him to the boat. This rod can do all of that while still having a soft enough tip to help keep the fish buttoned up. This rod also makes a great medium depth crankbait rod for lures like a Bandit 200. It is also a good rod for smaller walking style topwater baits.
