One of the most used rods in my locker. Skipping jigs, frogs or a buzzbait is easy. I also use it for swim jigs and spinnerbaits around cover. The rod is light and well balanced for all day use without fatigue

I have had this amazing rod since Jan/2020 & have found it’s very versatile,. The power of this rod lets me throw 1/4 -3/4 spinner baits, buzz baits, & Keitech Fat Impact swim baits into the hucklebuck & get the fish out. The sensitivity very good also I for Texas & Carolina rigs. I especially like it for Carolina rigs. This rod is always on my deck & ready to go. The rod is designed to skip with & I use it for that also when needed. I use 3/16 Oz. worm weights when Texas rigging. I use a Scorpion MGL XG reel on the rod & that spool makes it easier to cast the lighter baits. I was at the lake for the last 10 days & tied a square bill crank bait on to see how it would do, I did catch a 2 1/2 lb bass on the 3rd cast but would use this rig for fishing square bill fishing..

I already reviewed this rod, but after a year of use I wanted to add on to what I have learned. I originally bought this rod to pitch and skip jigs in tight quarters, and as time went on I started experimenting with it for different baits in the same situations. I have learned that this is probably the most versatile rod I have in my rod locker. I’ve found that this rod also does great with swim jigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and is an amazing frog rod for short cast, tight quarter situations. The tip is just soft enough that allows you to walk the bait easily, and enough backbone to drive the hook home. I now own 6 of these and is the most used rod I own.

Simply said this rod is Awesome. Great skipping rod, 3/8oz jig rod, and really all around just outstanding. The weight, balance, and sensitivity is unmatched with any rod at this price-point. The feel of the full cork handle is just butter. I have it setup with a Lews 7.5 lite and the rig is just really enjoyable to fish with all day long.
Great addition to the Champion lineup and if you didn’t already get it…..I love this rod!!

I live in North Carolina were skipping jigs is something we do a ton of. I have been through rods from most of the top brands looking for the perfect skipping rod. After fishing this rod for a couple of months I can tell you the dc610-4c is it, you want find a better skipping rod then this one. The length and action of this rod is exactly what you need to get a jig to skip into those tight places that other guys can’t get. If you love to skip docks give this rod a shot. You will not be disappointed.

Bought 2 of the 6’10 rods to fish jigs and shakey heads in deep water. I know the rod is built for dock skipping but man is it great for fishing out deep! The length really lets you work a bait slow in brush piles and points. Plenty of tip to allow you to “glide” baits over rocks and cover. But also plenty of backbone to give a good hook set. Fun rod to fish with. Give one a try!

I can’t rate this rod with enough stars. This length and power in a quality rod is hard to find, and I couldn’t be happier that y’all added this to the XP lineup. The majority of my fishing is done flipping a jig in tight quarters, such as flooded cypress trees on Santee Cooper where you have limbs overhead that you constantly hit with a longer rod when setting the hook or flipping. It’s amazing how much of a difference it makes just taking 2” off of your standard 7′ rod. The other big plus for me is that I am 5′ 8” and the dropping down from the 7′ rod to the 6’10” has eliminated catching the water with the tip of my rod when I’m flipping, which not only screws up your cast, but also can give you a heck of a birds nest.
