TEAM DOBYNS – PROSTAFF

Sean-Alvarez

Started bass fishing at 10 years old and turned to competition at age 19. Joined various clubs and the BASS Nation, earning 8 State Team appearances and competing in 3 BASS Nation National Championships. You can say that I am just like you – working my way along the best I can with the best equipment I can get. Thanks to a Dobyns 705 CB and my favorite squarebill, I qualified for the Bassmaster Classic in 2011. Now I compete primarily in the Bassmaster Opens and do seminars around the east coast. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned along the way and my passion for Dobyns rods — I can finally feel the fish before they feel me!

Larry-Nixon Larry Nixon (the General) has won 18 major tournaments with BASS an FLW, including the Classic in 1984 and General is a 4-time megabucks champ! The General has fished tournaments since January 1977 and qualified for 25 BASS Classics and 14 FLW Cups. He’s already qualified for the 2013 Cup in Shreveport, LA on the Red River. The General love to spend the winter enjoying Mother Nature and hunting deer and ducks; it clears the mind to be ready for another tournament season!! The General really love his new Dobyns Rods. “They are so light and well balanced it’s hard to believe.” – says the General. The General is a nickname acquired for a decision made during the final day of a big tournament. After running about 10 minutes back toward where he had fished the first 3 days, he stopped the boat and told the cameraman “I can’t win where I’ve been fishing.” So he turned the boat around and ran to a creek he had not been in and won the event! Somebody said only the General would do that and the name stuck. Ha Ha! The General has a beautiful wife, Amy, married for 31 years with 2 grown children, Christopher and Lindsey.
