Awesome and Versatile Rod!!

Jul 21, 2015 by Matt Hartley

I've had the 764 for a few months now and I use it for jigs, swim jigs, frogs, light flipping, magnum flukes, a-rigs and 6" bull shads. All I can say is wow. This rod is a killer rod. Super sensitive and light weight. Ive caught many 2lb and 3lb, bass and two over 5lbs, and Im not the least bit worried about this rod handling any fish over 5lbs. This rod is just soft enough to stay loaded with a big fish but it has ALL of the backbone you could ever need for anything short of flippin thick stuff, and I would still be willing to try it. I always have this rod with me when Im out on the water because it's so dang versatile. The 764 is unbelievable!

All Around

I mainly have a 1/4 ounce swimbait hook and a big ez tied on this rod for the flats in okeechobee and I love it for that. This rod also excels throwing swim jigs and can also be effectively used for flipping a 1/2 jig in lighter cover.

This rod is awesome! I love the versatility and it is my go to rod for the bigger hollow belly swimbaits on a jighead. The power this rod has will surprise you as lightweight and balanced as it is.

Swim Jigs

Feb 23, 2015 by Adam Bartusek

There's barely anyone out there who would think of using this rod for Swim Jigs but after having a few conversations with various anglers I decided to give this rod a shot for Swim Jigs. This is THE GREATEST swim jig rod I have ever used. The extra length allows you to absolutely bomb casts and rip fish out of heavy cover. I've been able to throw jigs all the way down to 1/4 oz with it and it still works perfectly.

This is my all time favorite rod. LOVE it for chatterbaits and is works perfect for spinnerbaits, top water, small swim baits too. Very versatile rod.

Impressed!

Oct 02, 2013 by Justin Seay

I just started using this rod about 6 months ago and I find it in my hand every time i'm on the boat. I bought it for carolina rig only and it has way over met my expectations. I have landed several bass 6-9lbs with it and it gets the job done with c-rig. Last few trips out, I decided to give it a shot with spinnerbaits and I am sure glad I did! I landed back to back 8.5 and 8.7 lb large mouth with ease. I am tough on my equipment when I am hogging a toad to the boat and this rod just put it on them! Thanks again Dobyns for an impressive rod!

#1 jig rod

Sep 27, 2013 by Bill Cantwell

I got this rod about 2 years ago as I love throwing my jigs on a 7'6" rod to try. Right away I was extremely impressed on how versatile this rod was. It handles light jigs as light as 1/4 oz and I go as heavy as 1oz on this rod and it handles it all with ease. I would suggest this rod to anyone and everyone I know and since I now own 4 of them. Thanks Dobyns rods for making another great product.

Best c-rig rod I've ever owned

Sep 26, 2013 by Chris Gilroy

I had a friend of mine suggest I get the 764 C for my c-rig rod. I drag probably as much as 50% of the time I am on the water. Whether its shallow or deep I just like the feel of it. Well, the 764C is perfect for it. I can cast a mile and the sensitivity and balance are what I've always expected from Dobyns.
